The CityData Sensor, also know as CITYEYE, is a privacy-compliant hardware sensor for counting people in real-time at parks and open spaces using computer vision AI technology. The main features include: Counting AI, Object Tracking, AI Training & Fine-Tuning, Weather Tracking, Privacy Compliant, Managed Sensor, Ruggedized Hardware.

The Counting AI system is an advanced, integrated platform designed to automate the process of data collection and analysis across a wide variety of environments. At its core, it leverages cutting-edge capabilities such as image capture, object tracking, and automated counting, enabling it to efficiently identify and quantify objects in real-time. Captured data is automatically uploaded to the cloud, where users can access a comprehensive data summary dashboard for streamlined analysis and reporting.

One of the standout features of this system is its robust object tracking capability. It can accurately perform people counting, bicycle counting, vehicle counting, and even pet counting—making it adaptable for use in urban planning, retail analytics, transportation monitoring, and more.

To ensure high performance in diverse use cases, the system includes AI training and fine-tuning features. Users have the ability to train the model for new object classes, allowing the system to evolve with changing requirements. Additionally, fine-tuning tools are available to enhance accuracy, particularly in complex or specialized environments.

The system also supports weather tracking, capturing data on temperature, rainfall, snowfall, humidity, wind speed, and visibility. This feature adds environmental context to object tracking data, which can be crucial for applications like traffic flow analysis or public space usage under varying weather conditions.

Privacy is a core consideration. The system is privacy compliant and designed with strict safeguards in mind—it explicitly does not include facial recognition technology, reducing concerns about personal data exposure and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

From a hardware and operations perspective, the system is delivered as a managed sensor running on the Android operating system. It supports automatic software updates, remote device management, and includes a cellular data connection for reliable cloud integration. Each unit comes equipped with a power cable and harness for secure installation.

Designed for durability, the system features ruggedized hardware that meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards, ensuring it can withstand harsh environmental conditions. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass screen, adding further resilience to the hardware.
